Becoming Water Neutral ... Achieving SDG#6

The practice of offsetting pollution by implementing initiatives to clean up the same type of pollution is widespread. This process is often referred to as "trading". One of the most common forms of this practice is "Carbon Trading" which aims to reduce carbon emissions. It is essential that we do the same for water. By implementing simple and natural measures that enhance biological processes, we can not only become water neutral but even water positive. This is precisely what the Water Tree Foundation is accomplishing through the use of advanced Microbial Enhancement Technology (MET). Similar to carbon trading, the same molecule of water is not traded; it is the volume that is exchanged, resulting in the desired impact - water reclamation.

The concept is straightforward. If your corporation reclaims the same volume of water it consumes throughout its supply chain, it achieves water neutrality. But if you go a step further and reclaim 50% more volume than you consume, you become water positive!

We extend an invitation to all corporations worldwide to join us in our mission. Together, let's Reclaim, Restore, and Respect water.

Sponsorship Interview.

The initial step is a sponsorship interview where both the potential sponsor and the foundation meet via zoom to determine the alignment of both organizational goals and desired impacts on water reclamation and restoration.

During this session, we will delve into the intricate details of our sponsorship program and unveil the remarkable outcomes that come with supporting our foundation.

Important:

  • Collectively we make a larger impact.
  • Every partnership counts!
  • Trust is built on shared values.

Organization  Assessment.

Following the interview, our sponsorship partners share valuable insights about their industry, enabling us to conduct a comprehensive assessment of water consumption and organizational goals. This assessment forms the foundation for developing a robust water impact plan, which may include tracking total corporate water consumption or setting ambitious water reclamation targets.

The Water Impact Plan provides a comprehensive overview of the plans objectives for achieving water neutrality, including the total amount of water to be reclaimed through the generous support of the organizational sponsors.

Important:

  • Every drop matters.
  • Transparency and communication are fundamental.

Water Impact Review.

The Water Impact annual review is a comprehensive report showcasing the tangible and transformative effects achieved by our esteemed sponsors. This report will delve into the individuals involved, inspiring stories of genuine transformation, the overall quantity of water reclaimed and restored, as well as the distinct impact made by each sponsor.

Important:

  • Consistent reporting ensures impact.
  • Real values, real stories.

Real impact in the real world.

For countless years, the system in Corquin, Honduras, has been plagued by excessive levels of organic matter clogging its operation. This unfortunate situation has not only resulted in overpowering odors but has also led to the contamination of nearby streams through the seepage of polluted water into the groundwater. Despite the best efforts of previous technologies, the chronic issues could not be resolved. However, thanks to the innovative collaboration with technology partner Hycura, The Water Tree has successfully reclaimed the system and eliminated the unpleasant odor, making a real impact in the real world.

Program Objectives.

At our core, we strive to make the most impactful use of sponsorship funds by reclaiming the largest amount of polluted water possible, optimizing the utilization of treated water and any organic matter generated in the process, reducing odour to levels that enhance daily living, and ultimately cultivating a profound respect for water among our esteemed sponsors, agents, participants, and governments.

Real Impact, Verified.

We are driven by the desire to have the maximum impact with the resources at our disposal, building a sustainable foundation for the future. This principle is directly linked to the importance of sharing verified results openly and transparently. In our Annual Water Impact Review, we disclose the impact of every dollar donated, as well as the details of each project, water quality test, handled by our third party local agents, and the total volume of water reclaimed. We firmly believe that transparency and accountability are the cornerstones of building trust and creating a lasting difference.

Public Awareness.

To achieve our ultimate goal of respecting water, it is crucial to raise public consciousness. This will be accomplished through the foundation's active participation in global conferences and stakeholder meetings, amplifying our impact on an international platform. Equally significant is the power of our sponsors, agents, and participants to share their remarkable achievements and stories of the Water Tree Foundation. We provide our partners with our distinctive brand identity, encompassing logos, videos, and reports, to ensure that information is equally disseminated for the benefit of all.
